Procedures for Cleaning a Fecal or Vomit Discharge in a Pool |

- Close Pool
- Remove as much of the solid matter as possible
- Raise disinfectant level to 5-10 mg/L chlorine or equivalent
- Allow one complete filtration cycle (one turnover) of pool water
volume to occur (8 hours or less if turnover rate is known)
- Allow disinfectant level to adjust to 0.8-3.0 mg/L chlorine
- Re-open pool for use
It is recommended
that children who are not toilet trained wear tight fitting plastic
pants.
