PROCEDURE FOR CLEANING A FECAL OR VOMIT DISCHARGE IN A POOL

· Close Pool

· Remove as much of the solid matter as possible

· Raise disinfectant level to 5-10 mg/L chlorine or equivalent

· Allow one complete filtration cycle (one turnover) of pool water volume to occur (8 hours or less if turnover rate is known)

· Allow disinfectant level to adjust to 0.8-3.0 mg/L chlorine

· Re-open pool for use

It is recommended that children who are not toilet trained wear tight fitting plastic pants.
