FLU SHOTS

Flu Clinic 2001
Nurses give flu vaccines during the Health District's
annual Flu Shot Clinic

Seven district-wide clinics were held for the general public and the senior centers. The Health District also held on-site clinics for the employees of several businesses and organizations. A total of 2641 influenza and 129 pneumococcal vaccinations were administered. The District opened a new influenza clinic for Heritage Village residents and began providing large numbers of flu vaccinations to working age populations.
Influenza and pneumonia are the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Vaccination is recommended for people over age 65.view chart
