The Cholesterol Screening Program is aimed at detecting elevated total cholesterol levels in adults. Participants receive information about their total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and glucose levels. Those with elevated cholesterol or glucose levels are referred to their physician for further evaluation.

Preventive Health Block Grant funds, the Health District periodically offers
a program to teach people nutrition skills to lower their cholesterol
levels. "Cholesterol: Lower Your Risk" is a four part program taught
by a registered dietitian that focuses on Healthy eating habits
and food preparation. A supermarket tour is
featured.
