BABY SITTING HINTS

For Sitters:

· Never open the door for a stranger.

· Be ready and prepared for an emergency.

· Never leave the children unattended.

· Ask the parents about foods and medicines.

· Have a list of emergency numbers in case of emergency.

For Parents:

· Tell the sitter where you will be and how to reach you in case of emergency.

· Tell the sitter what time to expect you home.

· Meet the babysitter and check the references in advance.

· Have the sitter spend some time with you and the child before you leave for the evening.

· Provide the sitter with a schedule for your children meals and sleep.

· Show the babysitter around the house and make sure they know where the emergency supplies, such as first aid suppiles and flashlight, are located.

· Make certain the babysitter is mature enough to handle the responsibilities of your childs care.
